Your wedding day approaches. How exciting! Whether you plan on just the two of you or friends and family galore—your ceremony has to be special, loving, personal, and joyful. I work with you to design the ceremony that is uniquely yours. I provide you with samples, resources, and suggestions to take the stress and worry away. Note: North Carolina law requires that you bring two witnesses to the ceremony. I am happy to let you choose which individuals will best bear witness to your happy day.
Choosing Your Ceremony
I offer three different ceremony options: Personally Yours: This ceremony includes all that you have dreamed of. All of the elements of the Short and Sweet ceremony are included as well as any readings, music, or rituals. In addition, after meeting personally with the couple (or via Skype for those coming from out of town) I craft a Wedding Message just for the two of you that shares your love story and affirms who you are as a loving couple. Short and Sweet: This ceremony includes welcoming words, an invocation (if the couple is comfortable with that), exchange of vows, exchange of rings, blessing of the marriage, and pronouncement of marriage.
Loving License Signing: This ceremony is offered to simply “get you hitched.” At a minimum, the state requires that your officiant witness the couple exchange vows and then do a pronouncement of marriage. That’s it…you are married!! And I am happy to have you “pick & choose” the elements you wish to use. As an Interfaith Minister I am comfortable incorporating rituals and words of many faith traditions. From the Jewish breaking of the glass to Pagan Handfasting to Buddhist exchanging of Khatas to Native American bringing in the Four Directions, I assist you in choosing meaningful and beautiful ways of communicating your love. Together we co-create your ceremony so that who you are shines through for all to witness. I supply you with samples of vows, ring exchange wording, readings, and rituals to make the process easier for you.
I offer a complimentary Skype meeting (or an in-person meeting at an agreed upon location) so that you can get to know me. It is so important that you “click” with your officiant, since this is one of the most important days of your life. It is my commitment to you to respond to your email or phone message within 24 hours. Upon agreement to work together I will send you my Officiant Contract which you will sign and return to me with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Questions? Contact me now. Congratulations for finding and celebrating love. May it continue to grow and always fill your heart.
